Aiming to “kill CVs,” Skurt’s innovative platform introduces a video interview process and screening application tailored for a younger, digitally-savvy audience. By eliminating the traditional CV, Skurt empowers applicants to showcase their unique qualities while streamlining recruitment for employers.

What

Skurt approached us to bring their groundbreaking vision to life by designing and developing their new recruitment application. The platform needed to reflect their bold mission to revolutionise hiring by replacing traditional CVs with an innovative video interview and screening process. Targeted at a younger, tech-savvy audience, the app had to prioritise efficiency, personality, and usability while standing out in the competitive recruitment space. To achieve this, we undertook a comprehensive discovery phase, including user and market research, to ensure the platform met the needs of both candidates and employers. A bold and modern brand identity was developed to embody Skurt’s evolutionary approach to recruitment. Finally, the mobile application was built using React.js and Expo, allowing for seamless functionality across iOS and Android platforms. The result is a sleek, intuitive app designed to disrupt traditional hiring practices.

The project began with an in-depth discovery phase, where we conducted user and market research to understand Skurt’s audience and the challenges of traditional recruitment processes. Insights from this research informed both the design and functionality of the platform, ensuring the app would meet the needs of both candidates and recruiters. We developed a bold brand identity that reflects Skurt’s mission to disrupt conventional hiring practices. The branding is vibrant, confident, and evolutionary, resonating with a younger audience while signalling innovation.
The mobile app was built using React.js and Expo, enabling efficient cross-platform development for iOS and Android. The app integrates features like video interview functionality, intuitive user flows, and advanced screening tools, creating a seamless experience for users on both sides of the recruitment process. The final product, set to launch in Q1 2025, is a sleek and revolutionary application poised to transform the hiring landscape.
