So the Car Protect Direct website is a simple one, and that meant it needed a simple and smart user journey. In total, there are three core pages with nine variations, which are retrieved from CDP’s back-end via API. We then used 3rd party tech providers to make the checkout process as simple as it needed to be.
Another smart feature we included is the ability to look up a vehicle from its registration number. This saved the user time and meant they didn’t have to enter many form fields.
To speed up the checkout process further, we used a modern feature to look up the customer’s address, too. Where normally you’d have to enter a postcode and first line of address — with CPD’s it’s one or the other.
For those really in a hurry, we made it possible to check out by setting up a direct debit in three clicks. Yes, three. You see, once a customer has seen a product they want, buying it is their next thought. They don’t want to faff around entering every line of their address or spend minutes setting up a direct debit. They want to be in and out. And that’s what we made possible.
